hi guys, just upgraded my BB9500 to Ver 5.0.0.484. https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do. My provider is Celcom. Works fine.

after deleting ‘vendor.xml’ and double click ‘loader.exe’, then few click of next, no ‘BlacBerry 5.0.0 System Software’ appear in the list, only facebook and messenger….

but if i use normal way, as in ‘desktop manager’, then ‘aplication loader’, start ‘update software’, ‘BlacBerry 5.0.0.425′ appeared. But couldn’t continue as it say i don’t subcribe to the blackberry service which i don’t.

can i do it without subcribe? how to make it applear using double click ‘loader.exe’?

When I tried to extract the download files, message box from 7-Zip : Diagnostic messages popped-up saying; Cannot open “C:\Users\Acer\Desktop\BlackBerryStorm9500v5.7z.001″ as archive. I wonder why. Thnx in advanced.

ok..managed to solve the first prob…^_^..now i hv a 2nd one. i followed the instructions given step by step but encounter prob when i reached the Application loader wizard – device application selection. it says that
“The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the dvice you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator.”

I’m using windows 7 (64bit), n already installed the
1. BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0.1
2. BlackBerry Device Software v5.0.0

by the way, where does the BlackBerry Device Software v5.0.0 installed too?. i can’t seem to find it after installing.

im usin the 6.0 version of the blackberry desktop software…i tried updating the phone through that itself..n i found the update version i just downloaded from your site..but when i try to update to that it shows an error coz i dont have an active bb plan!

BlacBerry 5.0.0 System Software and Core Application is not comin in the list of the application loader..i followed all the checkpoints u gave to DIANA…everything is perfect…and can u tell me wher the 5.0 software is saved once the application has been run!!

nothing seems to work, ive followed your instructions to the letter. the first time it diddnt work i thought it might have been the version of BB desktop manager i was using (v6.1) so downgraded to v5. nothing changed.

ive tried to extract the 14 files i downloaded i received a number of errors, first was “unspecifed error” – so i downloaded another 7zip. then it began extracting but towards the end it said “cannot open BlackBerryStorm9500v5.7z.013 and 014 as archive file”

so i downloaded the 9500 device software v5.0.0 from elswhere and installed that. i once again followed your instructions but when i got to the “Application loader” page where the v5 software should be ticked, it wasnt there……

what can i do?
